Regional Leasing Director Meredith Vogel Represented Property Owner PGIM in the Lease Negotiations
SUNRISE, FL, November 30, 2024 — Southeast Centers has secured a ±16,050 square-foot lease with Barnes & Noble at Sawgrass Square shopping center in Sunrise, FL.
Southeast Centers Regional Leasing Director Meredith Vogel represented Sawgrass Square owner PGIM in the lease negotiations. Atlantic Retail’s Nick Zarins represented Barnes & Noble. Barnes & Noble, the largest brick and mortar bookseller in the United States opened for business at the location earlier this month.
Sawgrass Square is ±215,658-square-foot community center developed between 1996 and 2000 at 12472-12594 West Sunrise Boulevard. The center contains a diverse mix of national retailers such as Publix, Ross, HomeGoods, Michael’s, and Five Below.
Sawgrass Square is immediately adjacent to the 2.7 million square-foot Sawgrass Mills Mall, which attracts more than 40 million shoppers annually. The surrounding residential market is densely populated with approximately 60,000 households within a 10-minute drive and thousands more in development. Average household incomes within a one-mile radius exceed $177,000.
